Hoam library in Albert van Abbehuis
Abstract model of the design of Hilhorst en Kang for Hoam library for the exhibition ‘The Art of Making Architecture’, in the Albert van Abbehuis in Eindhoven, the 18th of June until the 17th of July 2022. The model, scale 1 to 8, is an experiment with scale and size: because of its size, it enters a spatial dialogue with the room in which it sits, comparable with the spatial presence on urban scale which the building would have if it were built. The model is in re-used spruce, completely collapsible, all surfaces planed by hand.
